Browning's BOSS. Supposed to improve accuracy by changing barrel vibration. It could do that, if you only use one load, but the change is very small.

They still have versions of that around. Keep getting ads on FB trying to sell my the latest a greatest version. Guaranteed to improve my accuracy!

Top folding stocks were just trying to play on the cool factor of the SPAS 12, especially after Jurassic Park put them out to the general public.

Had a chance to buy one. Regret not finding a way to pay for it, but wasn’t in a position to do it at the time. It wasn’t a wonder shotgun, but something I’d just like to have.

The SPAS was in the public eye well before Jurassic Park. Seemed like every TV cop show featured a villain using one in the 80s at least once. Especially Hunter and Miami Vice.

    As for outdated/useless gun stuff...

The movie is part of the reason I wanted it. It was a cheap plastic piece but the way it was cut it was right up on your cheek. Pull the trigger and SLAM against your face. I said screw that.

I'll also add that I really wanted one of those dragonov style stocks for my SKS when I lived in commi-fornia. Moved to Texas and got an AK instead. Now I've grown up and realized ARs are just better guns.

Actually, it's just cheaper to shoot them and more ARs do what I want for less money than AKs...

I swear the only people that I knew that used it, were those that never actually had to use the rifle.

Most of the people I remember on the base should have just been issued a M9.
Shot fired lol. I was a mechanic. Mostly a fobblet, but got out every once in awhile. I had an A2, so I'm not even sure why I got the grip pod in the first place, but it lived on some of my first AR's I had when I got home.

I was support, but worked at a ECP, the m4 was just a backup to my 240B.

In semi auto, pretty pointless. If the full autos were available to the public though...

Even in FA they're pretty bad. Durability problems, too fast of a ROF, burst fire mode has accuracy issues, and the recoil system isn't as good as a roller delay mechanism
