    In the woods...
I have “carry” insurance and it is about to expire. I did a search but was unable to find a recent thread - only found one from from 2018.

For those of you who’ve done some research, who do you recommend.

I have Texas Law Shield but have heard conflicting reviews.

Read the fine print, recently there have been reports that if you are criminally charged, some so called CC insurance policies won't cover you.

I thought it was a given they wouldn't cover you if you were "guilty".
Yes you would think so, but there is a case ongoing where they (USCCA) dumped him just because he was criminally charged. I think they eventually reversed course because of all the bad publicity, and there was a ton of it..........

A bunch of YT videos about it.........

Just make sure your insurance allows you to pick your own lawyer, rather than providing you one or restricting you to a limited list.

I had it for awhile..then it turned out that most of the people I shot were poor and didn't have the means to sue me. And with the crop of migrant thugs coming in..they won't probably sue you for shooting them either.

Not a lawyer, but it seems if you are justified in the use of deadly force the grand jury clears you and there's no need for a lawyer. However if you are not justified, you'll really need a lawyer but these subscription services have a clause in their contract where they just nope out with your money.

How did that work out for Kyle Rittenhouse? He should never have been indited.

Did his carry insurance policy help?

Splitting hairs, that case had enough legal ambiguity to warrant a trial. The dividends will likely pay off well into the future as a cited case backing the legal defense to prosecution in the use of deadly force.

Actually there were none, it was a political prosecution, I have no idea what his legal coverage was. His is an excellent reason for having carry coverage.

Are y'all with carry insurance also getting Civil Liability insurance?

It is quite expensive, but could save your life's savings if Your Defensive Gun Use Was Ruled Justified, but you still get sued in civil court.

I am just looking for a justification to a civil addition (wife balking at the expense) and maybe a link to civil suits that resulted from a justified shooting?
