Read an article this weekend that said the Dem primaries had lower turnout than last time around.
I must respectfully disagree.RINOs suck, but they are better than d's, and I'm sure those scumbags are very happy in that niche.
Yes, a viable 3rd, 4th, ....and 10th political party is the answer. But that answer isn't available now, and is further from being an answer than any time in the last 30 years.
The Libertarian party abdicated to the democrat party. Ergo, the Libertarian party does not exist in any meaningful way.
So while we wait for the Libertarian party to re-create itself, and for the other 10 political parties to become viable, we have only two choices: R or d.
RINOs suck, but they are better than d's, and I'm sure those scumbags are very happy in that niche. Until we can primary out the RINOs, we have no choice but to vote for them, otherwise it's Francis O-Roarke or whatever his name is.
I am in favor of the constitution which says all rights not expressively given to the federal government should be for the states.
We should have the right to guns (federal constitutional rights)
We should have the right to medical care without government interference whether it is abortion or vaccinations. It is amazing how almost all people believe in "my body, my choice", but not to both parts of the previous statement.
My view on the issues is pertinent only to myself, and other people's opinions should be respected as well.
Because, I mean, Cornyn is such a winner.
And you don't think the D's have the same goal?I must respectfully disagree.
How many libertarian candidates have won a statewide or national election in the past 20 years? The Libertarian has more track record on 1A and 2A rights in the 50 years it's existed than the republicans have done in the last 125. So please hold your tongue. As an avid libertarian I can, with almost absolute certainty, say that I have more firm belief in the natural rights of man than any republican. Because if republicans did they would have voted shit heads like Cornyn out 2 election cycles ago.
I think a lot more Americans believe that now than did 36 months ago. The pandemic and the fallout from it certainly changed a lot of people's minds on body autonomy (in words only) only for them all to completely become hyprocrites with the Roe decision.
It's a 10th amendment issue. Body autonomy is a natural rights issue. Up to the people is that part of the tenth amendment.
Yeah I'm not even going to vote for POSes like Cornyn in General elections anymore. If they lose and we get a democrat that's what republicans in this state deserve.

Hundreds??Hundreds. There were 2 libertarians in Congress until this election cycle. You keep voting for RINOs and your kids will live in communist China quicker than you would believe. You might even live to see it.
I guess you didn't read her comments?I don't see the problem here. Cheney is a rino, no doubt. But you didn't show any reason why she is not better than a democrat.
I guess you didn't read her comments?
If I wanted a pol who would look me in the eye and lie outrageously, I could vote Obama, Beto, or even Jotato. They are the bottom of the DNC barrel. And she is every bit as bad, if not worse.
You forgot JFK family.Four families that need to be removed from American politics:
Bush
Cheney
Biden
Clinton
And anyone out to third cousins from them.
You forgot JFK family.
Good point. My voting record leans heavily toward libertarianism, but the Libertarian Party has been polluted with so many leftists that it's just another branch of Dems at this point. About the only true libertarian in the LP is Spike Cohen....and even he has issues. This is not about your beliefs, I'm talking about the Libertarian party. The same Libertarian party that had a candidate in the Presidential election in 2016. Remember that? Bill Weld, your VP candidate, essentially endorsing Hitlery Clinton? That's why the Libertarian party is a pathetic joke. Lower-case "l' libertarian Americans are awesome. Capital "L" Libertarian party members, like Bill Weld, have been proven to be nothing but democrats, stealing money from Libertarian party donors.

The Rs have their fair share of problems, no doubt. Nobody is saying otherwise. But the only reason we have a 2A today is because of Republicans. The only reason Roe was overturned is because of Republicans. Dobbs ripped power away from the government, and returned it to the people. West Virginia (the EPA case) also took power away from the government and returned it to the people. All brought to you by the Republicans. Those are earth-shakingly huge victories that will benefit generations and generations. We have law students, who are the judges and Justices of the future, studying Clarence Thomas, all because of Republicans.
You can look at the flaws of anyone and everyone under Heaven, and you'll never stop finding those flaws. If that's your measuring stick, you'll never find anyone worthy. So instead I suggest you look at what has actually been accomplished as a measuring stick, and work to vote out those who haven't contributed enough towards those accomplishments.
Politically, I tend to lean towards being more Libertarian, but not with the Party.Good point. As long as we vote party over person....looking at each candidate's record, words, and actions, then we'll keep getting socialists and statists from each party.
I am NOT advocating this but some states ( Texas being one) Going blue because or reproduction rates of some ethnic groups and yankees moving south could be the catalyst for a civil war.As more and more people resettle to Texas, we seem to inch closer and closer to going Blue. Is anyone else thinking that bringing R v W back to the forefront, it risks engaging more and more swings to the liberal side, ultimately pushing Texas to flip? I've been having more and more political conversations with people who I never felt were political before. Will that translate to the polls?
