I pulled game cards & was surprised to see some unwanted critters roaming around in the back of the property. I've never seen anyone in the year & half I've been here, but to catch two different people in the same week makes me think I should have a couple cellular cams going forward.

This area is the back of my property where my Tripod stand sits

12/20/21 this couple decides to take a afternoon stroll through the woods.

    On 12/22

This guy comes along on a 4wheeler about 3pm. Then again about 430 with another 4 wheeler. Still trying to figure out where they came through from. It's pretty thick underbrush & no trails.

If I was back there hunting I would have definitely fired a few warning shots.

Time for purple paint, signs, and fence repair. Also, might be worth checking with the Sheriff on similar problems other people are having.

I've got the front by the road marked with purple paint on the post, with signs, barbed wire fence & a gate we rarely shut. I've walked the whole border of the property & hung some flagging tape about every 50 yards. But it's so thick with underbrush you can't see it from one mark to the other.

I'm thinking the couple walking came from the property to south of me.

The 4wheeler I'm thinking came from a dead end County rd about 1/2 mile behind me. It runs through a few properties owned by the same family. Or it was them riding for the holidays.

Go down to your local Fastsigns, get those photos printed on 18x24 coroplast (corrogated plastic that they do political campaign signs out of), and have "PRIVATE PROPERTY - YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO BE HERE" printed across the top. Post them around that area of your property.

It makes me wonder what’s going on in that landlocked unclaimed lot nearby. If you need help installing more cams let me know.

Out at the fil’s they had some kid and his buddy riding on 4 wheelers and when confronted he said a neighbor said it was ok but it wasn’t. So who knows. Just remember: keep a cool head and stay observant. If you need a witness I’ll be out there. That way you don’t have to put your wife at risk. They have already scoped you out. And again who knows what their doing in other properties.

    In the woods...
Ive had the same issue on the acreage where I live. No access, surrounded by 6,400 THICK acres of timber company land.

No trespass signs every 30 or so yards. Purple paint. A fence on three sides. A gate on the only access point that has multiple signs. (No Trespass. Posted and Patrolled)

One sign ON the gate says, "Authorized Personnel ONLY - no access to this property without credentials or an escort!"

Twice I've caught trespassers (surveyors and timber company scouts) near my house, on my road, 200 yards inside the property line. Mind you they parked outside the gate, walked around it AND THOSE SIGNS! Both times they claimed they "thought we were on company land"! Both times they were walked off the land. I took photos of them and their license plates.

I did catch one other person, a hunter who claimed to be looking for his deaf dog, on the backside of the property. I half believed his story since it's so thick back there - about him getting lost. Then again (and this didn't occur to me until AFTER the encounter), he was whistling for the (deaf) dog while he was looking for it.

    People are effin stupid.

I've walked that land locked piece a little bit, there's no trails, you'd have to bushwack your way through.

I'm pretty sure the couple walking came from 2 neighbors from the south. Their land backs up to mine & the landlocked piece. That's about the only way they could have came in.

You've been in the back, that stuff is thick.

Well my vote is to get them for trespassing. You have a family up there and a normal person would have found you to apologize.
