What if he wanted to mail you a thank you card? Now he can’t.I've had a member here try to spring that crap on me once. Didn't work out as he planned.
You just need something to prove you’re a TX resident and nothing obvious that make you “appear” as a felon right (like wearing a oj jumpsuit)?Bwhaaaaaaa remember a few years ago there was a lot of arguments about it

I don’t know what the minimum proof of residency is, or even if there’s a duty of sellers to do X,Y,Z.
Maybe look at DL if it’s clear they’re not 21 and it’s a handgun sale.
Recall reading someone wanted a BOS and DL to buy a shotgun because they’re an ADA. Being an attorney doesn’t raise your burden of proof unless I’m mistaken.
My understanding has always been that you don’t need to ask if it’s private sale.where do you get the idea you need proof you are a TX resident unless you are buying in a store ?
if you read the law it says you cant have knowledge the buyer is not a resident. If you don't ask you can't know.
So its only a moral question for the seller on what he thinks is the correct thing to do.
Only have to be 18 to buy a handgun in a private sale in Texas .You just need something to prove you’re a TX resident and nothing obvious that make you “appear” as a felon right (like wearing a oj jumpsuit)?

But look at the WTS posts and you’d think you need a photo copy of your DL and CHL to provide to your private ftf sale of a long gun.
BumpI want to ask some people that have 7+ pages of bumps why. Now they may be talking to people in PM which I have had happen a bunch and the deal falls through or doesn’t work out so keep bumping. But join the site, have 300ish posts and the posts are just “bump”….
Oh no you didnt!Everyone should use a BOS that way it protects both the buyer and seller
I'm going to pretend I didn't see it.Oh no you didnt!
FIFYSo, he added the pic of where the rear sightarea.used to be.
Also dropped price back down to $1800.
You would think they would get the message that either no one is interested, or it's priced way too high.I want to ask some people that have 7+ pages of bumps why. Still too high. Needs to drop it at least another $800, and even then would still be a little on the optimistic side. I looked on GB yesterday, and there were some just as nice but complete that we’re selling for less. I even included shipping and FFL feesSo, he added the pic of rear sight area.

Yeah, I know. Perhaps we can return to the reason the thread was started?Sigh...
Here we go again...
You're way more generous than me. Missing sight, incorrect grips, clearly has been fired, no paperwork or box. Very maximum amount I would pay would be $600, after a very careful inspection.Still too high. Needs to drop it at least another $800, and even then would still be a little on the optimistic side.
