Fair question. It would be a tough *legal* case to make that a business is responsible for its patrons being unarmed, but ethically I'd say they are. Same deal with government buildings and schools and such. School shootings should weigh heavily on the consciences of whoever is responsible for making them so-called "gun free zones."What are the ETHICS of opening a business to the public begging them to come in and then putting them in danger by disarming them and not providing armed security?
