Listening to the live feed doesnt sound good for this bill.

The 11-hour committee hearing didn’t sound hopeful, either. If DP wants this to pass, I don’t think he wouldn’t have moved it to the floor if he didn’t have the votes.

ETA: I, personally, don’t think DP wants it to pass.

Damn, I feel for you guys. I'm not in TX but I've been keeping up with this thread for what feels like weeks. It's like a roller-coaster- optimistic, then doubtful, optimistic, then doubtful. I hope yall can get this done. I'm sure it's exhausting. Best of luck to you all!

Yup black senator from Houston, another 'how did he get elected'? West is another. Bunch of fear mongering statements. Handgun restricted from private property? Must leave is in law NOW. Idiots don't even know the law! Trying to argue against stuff in law already. Lucio tried to bring up the "The wild, wild west." . Unfortunately, he doesn't really know real history, just TV stuff. Tombstone law didn't make a bit of difference - nor Dodge city,
Yea, Patrick stood up and told her to sit down and shut up.
26 amendments, gonna be fun. Anyone notice the rock on the hand of the gal against the bill? Absence of a 'big' one on those for?
Funny Gueterez doesn't know the law even though he is a lawyer? LTC has to notify.

Sen Seligar who was on the fence is now voting for the bill.

Sen Huffman's office is still on the fence

    Sen Bettencourt is on board.

    The bill WILL pass!

The problem is, Ammendments were added, so now it will have to go back to the house for concurance. That COULD cause an issue.

It IS looking that way - and listening to the various speakers, I think they know it, as well - and are simply looking to "get on the record" for their voting base.

I have a direct line to Seliger via friends in the Panhandle (he used to be Mayor of Amarillo my dad was a county commissioner) it was made crystal to him that if he voted against it we'd find a way to primary him out. My father is also part of the PAC that convinced Trump to run in 2016 , so you're welcome.

The only concerning thing is that the amendments being passed might violate the "single subject" rule. If it does, it has to go back to the house.

I will go back to the house for concurrance.

As far as Rep Schaffer is concerned. He is good with all of the ammendments that have currently passed.
