Has anyone had this done to correct their vision? Similar to cataract surgery. Going in for it in 2 weeks for the right eye and the left follows a week later. Austin Eye.
LOL... none of that is true. They do some shaping of the eyeball to reduce astigmatism. And implant a lens. I have no flaring, no ghosting, no problem day/night vision. With lense replacement you'll get ghosting or flaring pretty bad at night, but your vision will be 20/20 unlike lasik which only burns the lenses down. That's what an optometrist told me when I thought about opting for it.

Interesting.I had it done about 6 years ago. I was mowing the lawn and realized I was mowing the same spot multiple times because I could not tell what was already mowed!
Cataracts removed. Multifocal lenses implanted.
I have ghosting and difficulty driving at night. Direct lighting in the house is an issue. For instance, if someone is sitting in front of a window or with a light fixture behind them, it's uncomfortable and difficult to look at them.
That said, I went from wearing glasses my whole life and being legally blind in my left eye to seeing 20/25 in the left and a bit better than 20/20 in the right.
I have to carry artificial tears with me and use them several times a day.
I was so blind I would do it again.

He did mine. I think he is excellent.Going in Tuesday for it with a new Panoptix lens supposed to correct for near, far and astigmatism. The DR said the previous LASIK worked fine and my astigmatism is only a very slight issue. Far vision is just a tad bad but near vision sucks. Hoping for excellent results! It is $6300 for each eye. Ouch! Being done by AustineEye and Dr. Odette. I have a hard time shooting as I can't see both the sight and the target at the same time. Well not good anyway. Without glasses can't see the front sight. With I can't see the target.
Did it fix Starbursting red dot sights?
When will they do the second eye? In a week?Right eye done this morning. Total less than 1 hour from walking it to leaving. Still a little blurry right now but not too bad. Supposed to continue getting better and should be able to see good tomorrow.
