Life full of shoulda, woulda, couldas!Wow, some of you could have bought a nice new car for the price of those events !
Tickets were dirt cheap way back then and comparing them to today's prices for tickets/cars, maybe back then you could have bought a real clunker but not a new car.Wow, some of you could have bought a nice new car for the price of those events !
could've seen Roy Orbison but I wimped out saying "we'll see him next year" - but he died before the next year.
Yeah, I did that with Orbison, Ray Charles, and Johnny Cash.
I seen Robin Trower in a smallish club in Houston. Being a yard away, in A/C & having cocktails beats arenas with a line up of half the bands you don't want to see.I've seen many. The best for me was Flogging Molly in this tiny joint in San Francisco. That was a DAMN good show.
Did you go to the Aaron Lewis concert at Dos Amigos last year in Odessa? I'm not much of a country music fan, but I am a Staind fan, so I was there. Not going to list all. But will list the 3 that was an incredible experience
Arron Lewis- Unplugged
Alan Jackson
Pearl Jam
No sir. I saw him pre country days. It was 2007 @ House Of Blues in Vegas. He did some of his Stained stuff and then he did some new songs he been writing while on the road. IIRC, he might have echoed a little "country" in 1 or 2 songs. He did a couple of covers.Did you go to the Aaron Lewis concert at Dos Amigos last year in Odessa? Well, he did several country songs, but also several Staind songs with a backup band. He was also wearing a MAGA hat. Great voice! No sir. I saw him pre country days. I was absolutely mesmerized by the performance. One man, guitar and a voice. The ol' less is more thing.
Chris Cornell solo in Winnipeg, a handful of months before his death. His show was excellent and intimate.
Too many too list over the years.
My 1st concert i was 11... it was Run DMC & Beastie Boys in 86.
Some of the memorable shows were Metallica, Tina Turner, Chris Stapleton, Stone Temple Pilots, Pink Floyd ×2, Tool, Candle Box, Primus & a few more i cant think of right now.
The last concert i seen was Josh Ward @ Gruene Hall.
Yessir... nothing less than brilliant. Can't help but wonder if Cornell's demons were 5c1entologists?I bet that was good. He and Scott Weiland were both awesome musicians. Both were lost to their demons. Such a shame.
