Cornyn wasn't bad in state office, but in Washington he became a RINO (at best). In a way it's ok to have some contrast in senators - Cruz to make the inflammatory speeches and Cornyn to work behind the closed doors, but he's let us down far too many times. I'm not a fan at all of Cornyn but it's incredibly hard to knock off a sitting senator in the primary.

So what about the actual election....

I see those Hegar ads and my blood boils. She's a Pelosi-loving, Obama-worshipping, 2A-hating, communist, but she pretends that she's a red-blooded war hero that's going to stand for Texas values. I can respect someone like Bernie who openly says what he stands for. I disagree with him on everything, but I respect the honest. There is NOTHING honest about Hegar.

A crappy Republican is better than a lying commiecrat any day.

As for voting Libertarian, don't kid yourself, you will be helping the Dems.

3>A throw away vote that just means 1 less vote for the guy with a R by his name and that equals a + for the person with a D by there name.

Inasmuch as over 85% of HEGYN's campaign funds are from NY, CA and/or "laundered through" Bobbi (AKA: Beto, the 100% PHONY Latino) O'Rourke's PAC, how hard is it for ANY member of this forum to KNOW that he/she MUST vote AGAINST the DIMocRATS. candidate??

I am ticked at Cornyn for shutting down the Alababama-Coushatta casino. We do not have/want gambling in Texas? What is the Lotto, bingo, horse track, etc. then? Now people go to Louisiana, Oklahoma, and New Mexico if they are not flying to Las Vegas.

How did he, as a US Senator, shut down a state casino, maybe it was before my time here.

It is Paxton who shut them down, The Feds have bills in House (passed) to allow the Tribes to run gaming as they are soverign. Cornyn is chair of the committe and no hearing on it as far as aI know. Cornyn and Cruz are trying to work something out from what I understand. State says no, feds say well yes.... (tax it)

I am all for letting gambling in. As long as they place the casinos in industrial or barren areas not in the middle of residential or mall type areas.

I haven’t voted for Cornyn in past couple of elections. I will not vote for any democrat. If Hegar is elected I feel like it would be my fault. So I’ll just hold my nose and take him.
Hoping we have a good candidate to primary him next time.

American Indian casinos - what a crock. The solution to the American Indian 'problem' is to stop giving them Fed $. Then they will get out of the dump reservations, get sober and become Americans. Similar to the getto problems in cities. I am NOT dis-respecting native Americans! They get conned by their leadership (who make bundles off gambling and it doesn't go back to the constituents). Did the lottery help your financial position? Did it (as SHE said it would) help schools? Nope. Does it add money to the state coffers? Yup. My wife calls it the stupidity tax.
Notice today the the texas republican boss is now against Abbott for his lockdown policies. Another crock. I am not against West but his complaint is wrong. Abbott has actually been very lenient and trys to open up stuff as rapidly as safely possible. Cities and county Gov did most of the 'lockdown'. As we have NO cure, lock down and masks are the only tools he has available! Did he lock out churches? Eateries? Schools? Left up to locals. GOAL WAS TO PREVENT THE PROBLEM FROM OVERWHELMING HEATHCARE FACILITIES and worked. Bars? Working to resolve that too.
Hairdresser that went to jail for not closing? I won't vote for her. Self serving tripe.
Middle aged friend took wife to hosp as she was not feeling well, neg to china flu. Few days later he's pos for china flu. Both forced quarantined four weeks now - medical prescription - asprin! Feeling better 2 days ago but not up to par yet. Basically tired, no appetite, no energy at all.
