I had one of Compton’s former mayors as a guest/resident on my tier years ago. If memory serves he was convicted of embezzlement. But I can’t say for certain what’s his crime was.

Us and them was not used in that context SATX. As that I have had and still have family in LE, I think you can surmise where my loyalties lie in that regard.

Today's society is appearing to be an upside down world and from a different planet than the one I grew up in. I personally am tired of this "Political Correctness" being forced on us. It's ok to rob, steal, burn, destroy, hurt others but let someone try and protect themselves and they are deamed the criminal. It is true that a few LEO's are racist just as civilians have a few who are racist but by in large I don't think our society and police force are racist now like there were in the previous century/s. Most are just trying to live peacefully. Having said that, I am going to go out on a limb and say that what I have seen of some of the protestors (not all but a few) apparently are racist. If you say Blue Lives matter or even All Lives Matter you are likely to be assaulted and even killed like one person was and others beatin This has to Stop. What is happening today is no longer about George Floyd but an all out Anarchist attack on our country and its people. In addition there are those in local and State government that are either complicet or turning their heads to it because of fear of confrontation. Either way they need to be replaced if they cannot or will not do their job to protect people and property of their cities and state. Defunding Police is wrong and getting rid of them ludicrous and a "Brain Dead" idea! Period


Also, concerning the two officers that were shot, they are reported to still be in ICU but in stable condition. Let's keep them in our prayers, pray for this nation and the person that did this be brought to swift justice. THIS NEEDS TO STOP.

Everyone keeps reporting that the police need more training but it looks like the training may need to be done one the side of the subject of police contact. There is a protocol that needs to be followed when in an engagement with an officer. It does not include fighting, taking an officer's weapon, pointing a weapon at the officer or escaping. The consequences are usually bad.

Personally, I think you knew you dug a hole and have had time to read the other replies made in this thread, and you knew you said the wrong thing, in the wrong way. So you had to figure a way out of that hole.

Now I seriously doubt that you are a card carrying member of the KKK, but from you reply on this thread, and the tone on other threads similar to this, I happen to think you do have some prejudices, against certain groups of people. Might even be a little bigoted.

My wife and I have said this very same thing. My best friend from work is African American and she said she has taught her children from a very young age “When a Police Officer stops you do exactly as they say , do not argue and keep your hands where they can see them”. I have heard others say the very same thing so it bewilders us why do so many try to fight, get belligerent, argue and then wonder why the outcome is never a good one.

My wife and I have said this very same thing. My best friend from work is African American and she said she has taught her children from a very young age “When a Police Officer stops you do exactly as they say , do not argue and keep your hands where they can see them”. I have heard others say the very same thing so it bewilders us why do so many try to fight, get belligerent, argue and then wonder why the outcome is never a good one.

Doesn't matter what color a person is, everybody should handle a stop this way.
