...Any Karen with hypochondriac tendencies can go in.

I would expect it to go DOWN.

But do they? The advice has been if you’ve been protesting or at bars/nightclubs/other crowded places then get a test. That’s not Karen.

Hypothesis: Virus is highly transmissible. Surveillance and testing appears to confirm this.

    Hypothesis: Virus is highly lethal.
Results appear to say yes for specific subsets of the population but not necessarily true for the whole population.

I expect the underlying positivity rate any given time is around 15% of the population and the lethality at large to reduce, otherwise mortuary school is looking pretty profitable right now.

That's odd. News release today said protestors were not spreading the Covid because of the outdoor air circulation. Whew!
The next news release said the bridge to Padre Island is closed. The beaches are dangerous! You could get Covid and die!

One thing that I have seen no explanation for: the positivity rate was running low to mid single digits for WEEKS. In the last few days it went up to ten percent, then close to 20%. Now, why would that be? They are doing lots of tests, so getting more false positives? It's really spreading around in the "herd" more?

With more testing and a higher positive rate, yes, the numbers are gonna climb. Interesting that the death numbers don't track this increase (yet; what's the lag for that?).

Just lots of weirdness out there, that's all.

Rekin it being 2 weeks after the riots started had anything to do with it. Also saw where 50% were 18-39 age group. Internet facts TAKE IT FOR WHAT'S WORTH.

    Here
My grandaughter was sent to get a covid test when she called in sick. The first place that she went to get the test was out of test kits but they told her she had covid. The second place that she went for testing did the test, told her she had covid and her test results would be back in a week. So she has been counted twice as being positive but the one and only test that she has had has not came back from the lab yet.

Great. Going to Arroyo City Friday with a bunch of people who already aren't happy that all the county beaches are closed. The good thing for me is the fish don't care one iota about beer-flu.

The Boerne mayor was overheard stating his position on requiring masks is specifically due to the number of shoppers recorded at local Boerne H‑E‑B and Home Depot that have an SAT area zip code.

Something like close to 1 in 3 are specifically choosing to come over; this is apparently a very high increase.

I don’t agree with his method, but understand his logic. I sure wish he’d of had an open meeting and council vote on the subject because up until now he’s been real even handed on the matter.

How many of those are doing curbside and never even going inside the store?
