Why the media couldn't have just printed that instead of the two sentences in the article is beyond me!

Yep retirement village where my MIL lives called yesterday to inform us no visitors until further notice but they will allow residence to come and go for now. Told us they would adjust this as needed. MIL is fine and fully independent so she’s not too affected yet. They just advised her on being smart as in places to avoid, ect.....

The wife abandoned any attempt at getting into HEB. Went down the road to Randalls. No lines but also no shopping carts or baskets available. Check out lines were all the way down the end of the grocery aisles. And we are out of bread. None at the Dollar store either.
Wife and I went to HEB about 2am this morning (our usual day and time) and it was packed with no shopping carts available. No meat, no produce and no bread or pasta. I texted a friend who works nights so I knew he was up and he told me that he had been to Walmart and had gotten everything he needed. So, we stopped at a Walmart on the way home and it was a totally different story, hardly anyone there and well stocked. We got what we needed.

The meat counter at HEB. The stuff towards the end on the top shelf is high dollar prime beef.

My daughter is a student at UTSA and her spring break is extended for a week and then classes will be online.

My son works for The Hartford and later next week he will be working from home. He says he will be issued a laptop and a router. I'm not sure what he's supposed to do with the router.

The router is probably a VPN router to access their network.

And the wife just called from HEB parking lot. There's a line wrapping around the building, people waiting to get in. Security is there and they are allowing 50 people at a time to enter the store. It's getting real...

    Real crazy.

Idiots. We just went shopping and got all the things we wanted. You need to go to the stores nobody knows about, like Braum's and ALDI. Less traffic in there than on normal days even.

Just got an email from the SPCA.
    Contradicts what was previously reported.
    Hope it's true.

“At this time, it does not appear that companion animals or pets such as cats and dogs can been infected with or spread the virus that causes COVID-19. Further, there is no evidence that cats or dogs can be a source of COVID-19 infection to people.”
    – Dr. Anne Kimmerlein, DVM, MPVM, DACVPM, Veterinary Epidemiologist, VCA Animal Hospitals

Yes, after intensive testing, the World Health Organization gave the "all clear" on pets. WHO let the dogs out.
