It would make sense to someone wanting to have a piece of equipment they might actually use to save a life.
Wonder how many injuries the average person sees per year requiring a TW vs heart attacks.
But I get it. You say a small box is too inconvenient to carry around or have nearby. Probably not much bigger, or smaller even, than a lot of the first aid kits some of y’all are carrying around.
But by all means, forget that it’s far more likely a loved one would benefit from a portable defibrillator and buy a pile of tourniquets because they are more tacticool.

Do you have a portable AED? Do you even know how to use one? I do...I have completed Red Cross training on CPR and AED deployment every two years for the last 8 years since taking my current job. We have several in the building I work in. I can also tell you where they are at the gyms I go to, most of the the stores I walk in...most places I go...I look for them.
I also have to inspect/check them weekly. They are a serious piece of lifesaving technology that works...no doubt.
I won’t deny their value or that an AED may be a lifesaver. But at this point, I cannot shell out $1300 for something like that at this time in my life.
Never used one outside of practice/training though.
