Headed to Seward today so there will be some seafood on the menu of some kind
Went with the Cod, fish and chips insteadSaw an episode of Meat Eaters and he got a sea cucumber. Said it was pretty tasty. Take a pic if you eat one of those.
They kind of turn it inside out to eat it.
People I know from Alaska swear by Halibut for their fish & chips. If I was to fish Alaska I'd put more effort into Halibut then salmon. Never really cared much for Salmon.Went with the Cod, fish and chips instead
Friends of my parents travels a whole lot. They did one Alaska trip on a tug boat turned bed & breakfast. They caught a crazy amount of Halibut, but left it with the boat owner. Not sure if he was compensated for it.I love Halibut too. Pappadauex's has a dish when its in season that is my favorite fish dish. Comes with sauteed spinach and brussells sprouts.
Knew a guy who caught a 115 lb Halibut. It was bigger than he was.
