Looks like it's been tinkered with.Good thing I saw the stick figure picture earlier or I would be confused at the posts right now.
I have never held the Steyr pistols but I have always loved the look and the idea of the very low bore-axis. Have you every shot one, or is that your first? Steyr just announced a new updated version of this pistol at SHOT, released 2Q19. Any insight is appreciated.
You know, there are other materials to make your grips out of rather than linen paper.
I hadn't even held one until I picked this one up. I saw the new A2 announcement when I went to register for the rebate. They announced the same day my pistol got to my FFL.I have never held the Steyr pistols but I have always loved the look and the idea of the very low bore-axis. About 15 years ago or so those Steyrs couldn’t be given away. They were going for as low as $200 ish at gun shows. I almost bought one, but just couldn’t get past how slick feeling the grips were in spite of how comfortable the gun felt in hand. My dumb ass didn’t think about doing a hack stippling job at the time. Live and learn I reckon.
Now the grip on the newer models look greatly improved. But I bet they go for considerably more than $200.
Well if two comments in a year and a half doesn't sway you then I don't know what will.......Watch out! Some of us are immune to hounding.
