Its up in the Fair Oaks or Boerne maybe address, not sure. He just handled a FFL transfer, gets $25 bucks, great guy, Vietnam vet...it's not advertised at this time he is just passing it on to his customers. Its NOT a need to sell, it's profitable and he does well. Guessing he is maybe mid 70's and just time to retire he said...By chance would it be near Helotes?

Yes & yesHe’s looking to sell the inventory and book of business but not the real property, is that correct?
I’m guessing (no idea here) the Purchased has to get their own FFL?
Im not trying to rain on your parade, but he’s selling inventory, not a business since he is home based. The buyer would have to get their own FFL, I suppose they could use his business name depending on how he’s set up but without a brick and mortar store what’s the point? Unless his inventory is discounted there’s really nothing there that someone couldn’t duplicate on their own and no reason to buy his “business “.This is a home based business (shop is behind his home) 15 years of full time business. Very successful, is a "Master" Sig shop, will sell for inventory value which is about $250k.
I know him, stand up guy, in his 70's and time to retire.
It’s on his property not in his kitchen, he has a stand alone shop which very nice, did gunsmithing for 15 years and has a solid following. As for the FFL...You get a free FFL by buying a gun store, become a Doctor by buyin a medical office or get. Real Estate License by buying a Real Estate office.Im not trying to rain on your parade, but he’s selling inventory, not a business since he is home based. So he’s selling the building on his property? If he has his license under an LLC it could legally be transferred over if it’s in the same location for the new owner. The business will have an FFL if he’s set up as an LLC, sole proprietor would mean he had the license in his name. You may have sold many businesses but how many gun stores have you bought and sold? It’s a different creature. As for your second and third sentences, I have no idea what you are talking about, it doesn’t make sense. It’s on his property not in his kitchen, he has a stand alone shop which very nice, did gunsmithing for 15 years and has a solid following. The business does not have an FFL, Real Estate license or a license to practice Law or Medicine!
I have sold several businesses and it’s a combination of many things. Inventory, capital equipment, cash flow analysis, real property and your most valuable asset...Goodwill.
