Semi-rural area that is now beginning to develop. Lots of cookie cutter houses coming.

Looks like I’m gonna have to move before this area becomes suburbia.

    Axxe55 & avvidclif,

Geographically we all live on similar dead end roads and I like it that way.

Criminals couldn't pick a more difficult kind of road to escape.......

Just to clarify. My county isn't a dead end road. One end ( the end we live on) connects to lightly traveled farm to market road, and the other end connects to well traveled state highway close to the outside of Elkhart.

'Top of the hill, Kerr County!
This morning in Fredricksburg a home invasion by a 19 year old who attacked a 73 YO man. The home invader beat and choked the older man and when the fiance of the 73 YO asked the invader to stop and he didnt, she shot him in the head. 19 YO invader will not be continuing with his criminal career. Police say it was drug related.

It can and does happen anywhere. Armed and willing to use force is effective.
Outstanding! One less scumbag to worry about (although I don't worry very much). Most of the folks around here (Gillespie County, Kerr County, etc.) carry and or have weapons close by,

    City.
    Not urban, more like suburban.

While I’d love to live rural, we do like the amenities of being close to the city.

Rural. Very low crime, but some of my neighbors are dipshits, so we're cautious. Also there has been a string of burglaries within a 10 mile radius of us - mostly workshops and sheds being broken into.
