Wolf Target Match .22?

I shoot Wolf Target Match in my .22 rifle because I find it to be the most accurate of all I've tested. However, I'm wondering if others here have a different brand they call favorite. Anyone? What do you like to shoot in your .22 for squirrel and rabbit head shots?

Also, if anyone here knows... whats the most accurate of all that cheap .22 ammo that they sell at Wal-Mart? Well, accurate and powerful enough for rabbit head shots, at least.

I have heard good things about Lapua match ammo but haven't tried it.

As far as the cheap stuff goes you are gonna have to try it. Every rifle is different.

I like Wolf Match Target as well but I found that, at least in my rifle, RWS R50 shot the tightest group. Too damn expensive though so I stock up on Wolf instead. Check out this thread.

You definitely need to experiment with 22 ammo because every rifle has its individual preference. I literally have to adjust my zero based on whatever ammo I use b/c I can see the difference in POI. I recently purchased some SKD Standard Plus(Wolf is made in their factory in Germany) and some Lapua Center X. I noticed an improvement of 10-20% in the scores I shot for our monthly rimfire challenge.

Wolf MT has out-performed every other standard velocity ammo I have run through my 10/22s. However, I have never spent the big bucks on tenex,or any of lapuas match grade stuff. I recently picked up some fiocchi match target ammo and I'm anxious to see how it does. Unfortunately, dove season has taken precedence over plinking, so there will be a little delay before I can share the results.

Almost bought some WMT at Cabelas. Bought the CCI AR Tactical rounds instead. Much cheaper, and it seemed I remember from the 22 ammo thread on this board that the ART was supposed to be great in 10-22's.

Wolf Match, Aguila rifle match and CCI SE, all very good with Wolf having a slight edge in my rifles.

Can't beat Wolf Match if you can find it.

Winchester Dynapoints in the bulk pack put all other budget ammo to shame, and is a close second to Wolf.

Since our local K-Mart moved out, the only place I could find Dynapoints is at gun shows or at Dick's Sporting Goods.

If you would have used a scoring guage or bullet that definitely would have been a 100-3x.
