So, one of our dusty old systems in the back office kinda crapped out on me just before 2AM. I called tech support. It was an American (should have been my first clue that it was some ancient shit!). I asked him if it's okay to reboot this IBM PC JR lookin' thing. He says it's okay. So, I go back and do it -m it takes a while, and I eventually have to physically pull the damn plug!
After I plug it back in, it starts up, and what do I see materialize on the screen, but a bunch of code lines, along with this sentence that catches my eyes: "Starting Windows 98"
WTF! Seriously?! I know of places that still use DOS (yeah, we're one of those - on our main systems), but c'mon! Is there even still support from MS for this antique?
