The greatest generation built that gun. On their way out the door to retirement.
I aint knocking the baby boomers. I am one. But that gun was built by "real, give a shit, Americans".
Get it. I'll give you $275.00 for it next spring at Hicksville if you don't **** it up.

make sure the stock has not been shortened. shoulder it to make sure it fits you. or put a tape measure to it. it should be just under 14in LOP.

i'm not sure why the butt plate would be missing other than they shortened the stock and did not want to fit a new pad like Larry would.

If it is a gun you have been looking for Jak then jump on it.
I've already made up my mind. Heading there tomorrow morning.

That means something to me for sure now that you've mentioned it. would have never thought of it that way.
    I know. Sigh
You can trust me. I love old school wood and steel. I would keep it as is.

Some slight rust. I'll brush it off with oil and a nylon brush

A little birchwood casey barricade, steel wool, a nylon brush, and a conservative amount of CLP and this thing has cleaned up real well.

Thanks again to everyone who helped convince me to pick this up!
