I was in a local pawn shop the other day and while looking over the merchandise I noticed a Trapper-length (16") Winchester model 94. I was surprised to find this was chambered in 30-30, rather than the expected pistol caliber.

I didn't even know Winchester made the Trapper length leverguns in 30-30. Any thoughts?

Yep, I got one for Christmas in 1980 (?). They are nice little rifles, and handle very well.

I have one with a saddle ring and 'case hardened' receiver. The one I have is a 94AE and an odd mix of WRA and USRAC parts. I like it and won't ever sell it.
My father had an identical one in .45 LC.
