HB 3884 would have repealed the ban on certain illegal knives such as daggers, swords, blades over 5 1/2 inches etc.

Did it pass? The committee report was printed and sent to distribution on May 23. What does that mean?

Also, what happened with HB 905 relating to cities and municipalities establishing their own knife restrictions?

Yep, 3884 died in the Senate. No-go this time around. 905 was passed in the final 10 days so Abbott has 20 days to sign it... or more correctly, not veto it (since either signing or ignoring have the same effect, the only thing that matters is not vetoing).

It's possible he may not sign this one and it just passes through. No idea, but the same effect either way.
