No bill passed..., yet, but some have proposed $200 per taxable item, as per NFA registry, to include per taxable magazine..., but, it's possible that you might not have to pay the tax on items you currently own, you would just have to register each item...

How would that sit with you? No need to answer...

Not well. But neither would giving up shooting and going underground. At this point it's pretty theoretical so I'll oppose it now and worry about compliance later.

That server ain't going out and knocking on doors.
Seriously? Everything you say on the phone or post online is collected somewhere. There is no doubt about that.

    The door knocking comes later.

Example, order solvent traps and filters from China. See if the BATFE pays you a visit.

Not sure how that qualifies as "disturbing".....more like winning the lottery. Some people, geez.
    To me....
Its disturbing some phuktard tossed guns in a duffle bag and buried them. They ruined a galil and an uzi plus a couple more.

Besides there are a few perfectly good lakes near phoenix.

FYI, seal a meals rolled bags vacuumed seal guns just as well as food. Not that I would have anything to do with hiding guns in that manner. Guns are the debbil.

Plastics are not waterproof in the long term. Moisture will migrate through.

Boat, schmoat. Fire, sire. I sold all my guns and ammunition at various gun shows years ago. Even have a DEA letter around somewhere for a Walther PPS I sold many moons ago in Fort Worth at a gun show that was confiscated about 4 years later and they asked me if I wanted it back thinking it was maybe stolen. I did not answer that letter. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

This little charmer, PM of New Zealand has so far been able to get back ~ 29 % of registered semi-automatic weapons despite hundreds of buy back events both public and private. "Supposedly" Texas guns are not registered. GFL

    Not where you are
The right to keep and bear arms shale not be infringed.

Seems these folk need to study up the definition

    infringe

verb (used with object), in·fringed, in·fring·ing.
to commit a breach or infraction of; violate or transgress:

Just wondering with the possibility of the proposed new law where you would have to register and pay taxes on all your guns that you own, how many would comply. The proposed penalty would be for failing to comply $50,000. fine and 10 years in jail. I would not comply and I would declare that as tyranny. How many of you would refuse and declare tyranny against this corrupt form of socialist democrats?
FNG with 117 posts, at the time I saw this thread, asking us who would disobey the law. Yeah right, I am going to give you an answer - in your dreams,

They tried this in Connecticut (I think). The compliance rate was about the same as New Zealand got for the mandatory turn in of firearms - 5% that they admitted.
