Complaining about shiny black boots.
Here's one of mine.
I bought these in 1978, or 79.
Lucchese tail cut cayman.
I wore them every day at the time, most of my travel was on a motorcycle then.
They've been resoled at least 6 times.

Actually, that heel identifies this boot as the Maxwell Smart model. That heel is designed to contain a telephone.

I have square toed boots and I'm as Texan as they get. Although they aren't shiny black, but brushed leather. I do still have round toed boots, but with my wide foot, square toes feel better.
I wear riding boots, round toe not square, and motorcycle not horse. Sorry, not changing my ways.

I'm a Texan....born here and never lived anywhere else.....and I haven't worn cowboy boots since my 30's and don't care to wear them now.

There is something about slipping on my $700 pair of square toe full quill Lucchese's that makes me feel like a million. I have to wear the same damn thing... everyday for work. When I go out, I like to do it right.
