Now Open in Austin....Down Range Thermal offers weekend thermal optic rentals for a fraction of the cost of a new unit. We rent high-end thermals from manufacturers such as IR Defense and FLIR. Most of the stuff we carry is not kind of optic you will find at the big box stores. All of the IR-Defense optics we rent are 60hz 640x resolution with the cutting edge BAE systems MicroIR core with 12um micron sensors. We also have some pretty cool accessories (helmets, mounts, etc) that can make your rental even more enjoyable. One of the coolest is the mini DVR that allows you to video your hunt as seen through your optic. It comes with a very handy a butt-stock mountable carrying case. It accepts up to a 32g memory card so you can record a decent amount on there. Very cool to be able to sit back the next day and watch your pig or predator hunt as seen through your optic.
