    It's amazing how many have called people things. Just reading the thread title I couldn't associate it to people, but maybe I haven't used people enough in my life.

    NO! I'm not trying to be insensitive, I certainly would yearn for loved ones I have lost, but I can also rationalize the OP's intent.

    P.S: With my foot swollen and hurting almost constantly, I am a bit cranky.

    I couldn't either until it was brought up, but some people definitely are things. My parents were people, but if you head down to 6th street in Austin there are many things walking around.

    OBVIOUSLY, almost all of us have LOST people in out lives that we miss. I don't think that that was the intent of the OP.

    As to THINGS, I really miss my 1960 Alfa Romeo with the "one-off" body by Zagato Works.
    (That one was DESTROYED by an Army 5T cargo truck that slid around the corner on the ice & literally drove OVER it.)
