Was any of that training under any Conventional Pistol specialists? If I asked for a proper roll trigger on a 1911, would you be able to say you've done them before and know how to do one for me?...We started RPP officially last March after years training with others. ... trigger mods, ... 1911 ...
Yes, a long, smooth progression to sear release with no immediate stop afterwards is a "roll trigger". You just keep the trigger moving and the firearm fires somewhere (consistently, of course) along the way.Ben have you called and talked to John Dixon? He is my go to guy on 1911s and might be able to help.
What you are asking for is a trigger that has what some would call 'creep' but without the grittiness associated with 'normal' creep on a trigger, a smooth progression to the break, right???

Please understand, I don't mean to sound rude. But as far as I can tell, there doesn't seem to be a 'smith in Texas that will do anything other than stare blankly at me when I ask or, worse, try to convince me that I don't know what I'm asking for and that triggers aren't meant to work that way.
Do you slick up and short stroke 1866/73 Winchester clones for CAS?
What about 1897 shotguns?
Revolver timing?
