There is no such thing as a round that is better than every other round.
Every round has its merits along with its drawbacks.
Add to the merits and drawbacks of each, is intended purpose, availability, price, personal preferences and so many other variables.
Everyone has different likes and dislikes and negotiates with themselves on what they want to carry.
For normal everyday folks that aren't charging bunkers....it really doesn't matter that much.
Enough accurately shot chunks of lead will kill you every time.
I like my 40 for my ED open carry, and 380 for my ED deep conceal.
If different options work for you, cool. Good for you.
If you ever have to actually use your pistol to defend your life, ballistics mean exactly dick.
By the way, I own SIGS. They are the best guns ever made and your gun sucks.

People can argue which caliber is best till the cows come home, all I know is shot placement will always trump caliber. A .22 can take down someone faster if it has a better shot placement. So I believe that whatever caliber you can shoot best with is the size you need.
