Does the cerakote change the texture of the polymer on the gun?

I know with regular spray paint you can get a gritty/sticky type texture whenever you paint something.

Didn't seem to change it at all. I have also done a polymer AR lower and texture remained the same on that one as well.

I will retract my previous statement. Comparing it side by side to a factory Glock, there is a difference. The factory is very smooth whereas the coated gun feels not-as-smooth. However, let me stress that it feels nothing like if you were to spray paint plastic. I know what you are thinking of when you say that, but it does not feel sticky or rough at all.

Some may remember I screwed up the finish on my Advantage Arms conversion by cleaning it with TSP.
I got it back from Jim today and it looks great! Great guy to deal with, very detail oriented. It's Cerakote on aluminium.
