Finally got the chance to put a couple hundred rounds through my Ruger PCC and the overall feeling is just....meh.

It functioned fine, seemed plenty accurate and wasn't uncomfortable to shoot or anything but I just found it utterly boring. About three mags into it and I found myself wondering why I even bought it.

I did find I missed not having a bolt release like the AR. I think that platform has me spoiled.

I might end up selling it. I don't know. I am very underwhelmed by it.

I guess if it spit the bit, it'd be more interesting?
Sounds like you got exactly what you paid for.

If you ever want to trade it pm me. I might have something you like. I have been interested in something like that for running suppressed. I just got my sub 2000 right now but wanted to add another 9mm carbine.

Love mine--suppressed or not. The ONLY thing I'd like it to have that it does not have is a pistol grip rather than a Monte Carlo-type stock. But it absolutely performs flawlessly and is the 10/22 or 9mm carbines.

I think that’s why I’d like it. The no pistol grip. Had a marlin 9 that just didn’t shoot well but what a fun gun. I know a carbine 9mm can shoot. My sub 2000 shoots great. Very accurate. But yeah for me I think the ruger reminds me of the camp 9 and I get excited about it

I love my Marlin Camp Carbines (two of the 9s and two of the 45s), and it's one of the reasons I was excited about the Ruger when it was released. But I'd like the modern functionality of a pistol grip type stock. I believe there are folks in the process of designing one . . .

I would like a Ruger 9 carbine but I already have a couple of Beretta storm carbines in 9mm and can't figure what the Ruger will do that the Beretta will not. Plus, I'm pretty invested in the whole "92" platform.

Have you tred the Sierra Papa hammer and/or trigger in your Storms?

Have any of the CX-4 carbines been equipped with threaded barrels from the factory? Aside from that, I like the takedown feature of the Ruger.

Threaded barrel as a standard barrel and options for different mag types is something not only ruger did but keltec already said yes to.

I've wanted a CX4 since I first saw them. Never bought one, though. I've got the Beretta ARX160 .22 and it's a fun little gun.

The ruger seems more complicated than it needs to be. Its a blow back pistol caliber rifle, it doesn't need a removable breach face and screws that use 3 different allen wrenches.

I'd be more interested if there were more magazine wells (for beretta, HK, sig, etc) and a magpul stock similar to the x22 backpacker.

I think I'd rather have a CZ scorpion pistol with a folding brace as of now

    I love my Ruger PCC.

There's a damn good reason it doesn't have a pistol grip. There are a number of states that ban guns based on how they look.

The Ruger PCC sidesteps that issue.
