I hear you. I wanted a Dan Wesson Alaskan in 445 supermag. Could never find one. Even have the dies for it. (bought them from a guy with a T/C contender)

There was one at the recent premiere gun show in San Antonio.

I might still have the vendor business card in my truck, if you are interested I can search for it.

Oh, thats not an Alaskan. Thats just a Super Redhawk. Im lookin for the snub nose. I think thats the difference between a Super Redhawk and a Super Redhawk "Alaskan", but im not positive. Regardless, im looking for the short barrel.

    Thanks anyways, though!

Yea, i have. Shot my buddies. And my pops' long colt. Amazing action. Loved it.

Sadly, im not set up to reload. My pops is, though. All the brass i save might one day make it out to his place.

I don't think I have ever seen .454 Casull on the shelf anywhere. Then again I wasn't really looking for it. That stuff is really gonna hurt your wallet if you don't reload. Lots of reading and homework to do if you decided to get into it. Good luck and stay safe.

    Just a quick ammo cost

The Barnes 45 colt bullet cost $23.00 @ academy

Regular price for the 454 is $32.00 @ either bass pro or cabelas

If you use cowboy action loads in 45colt, the box of 50 Winchester cost $38.99.

This prices are less than a month old.

The cost of the bullets are well worth it.

Believe you me, i will bear all of this in mind. If i do get my Ruger eventually, he wont be seeing a LOT of action. Ill take him out a few times at first. Then, he'll come out for special occasions and what not.

I saw one at Cabelas right before SH. Since then? Nada. Think ill call Ruger and see if i can order one directly from them.

    Can this even be done?
