This past Tuesday a board meeting was held to vote on ignoring the Governor’s order banning mask mandates. The board broke the rules of the Texas open meetings act (TOMA) only allowing 15 seats for the public in a room the can hold 345 people. In June they had 90 people in the same room. They ordered the ARREST of two fathers last night for “disrupting the meeting”. I was there and they were just stating that the board was in violation of the TOMA. No one was ever detained by the RRISD police that night. They are playing games by keeping people out of the meeting room. We need everyone in the area to attend the meeting to support parents rights to allow them to make decisions for their children about wearing masks or not. Wednesday at 6pm at McNeil high school Round Rock.
