Remington 770

Well,I now own one of these rifles and am looking for some REAL info,not just rumors.
Here is what I know so far.
1. Its not a 700
2. Its got a sloppy bolt
3. The stock is kinda fugly.
4. The scope on it is cheap
5. The barrell is press fit.

Here's what I wanna know

1. Doea anyone here have any avtual experience with this gun? If so,opinions.
2. Will polishing the bolt and a good cleaning keep it from sticking?
3. How accurate can this gun be?

I know if I want a real tack driver I should buy something else,or go in my safe and grab another rifle. But I have this and wanna play around with it and see what it will do.

So please,DON'T RESPOND WITH buy a vanguard,buy a 700,buy a savage,or buy a model 70. I know this gun is of lesser quality than those,and that's part of why I want to see what its truly capable of.

You wont like it. It's built cheap, feels cheap. It shoots...ok. If your just wanting a cheap rifle that you can use for a couple of years it would be ok. If you wanted something that will last more than that, get something else. I had one and didn't like the recoil due to the plastic stock. The scope was ok for a chinese made scope I guess. There's better out there.
