    As a former submariner myself, I can tell you that most people will find them rather expensive to maintain and operate.

    I know a few people that own tanks... I don't see the issue. Of the tanks I know about the gun has been deactivated, but you could probably have an operational one if it were registered as a DD?

    I thought the 2nd amendment only applied to firearms you can personally carry by yourself, so things like swords, tanks, ICBM's, harriers, subs, etc. are not guaranteed? Am I right?

    Field artillery wasn't unheard of at the time the 2nd was written. Matter of fact, private citizens in Cincinnati, OH purchased two cannon for the Texian rebels. IMO there's a strong-ish argument for machine guns, rocket launchers and even light artillery pieces.

    Yeah, sometimes our arguments, though valid and well intended, don't help.
