Heart of Texas Shooting Center. Closed with only one day warning. I did get to buy a Ruger 22/45 rental gun cheap on their clearance sale....

Republic Gun Club is still open, but it's an extra 20 minutes for me to get there, and their memberships are expensive. I'd like to find something closer to the Teague/Mexia area.

There's a little outdoor range called RTSS Shooting Sports in Purdon, outside Corsicana. That might be an option for you. There's no gun store attached, though they do sell ammo at the range. It's just a father and son who decided they needed a range on their land. Bare basics, and you have to ask them to turn the water on if you need to use their little bathroom shack, but they're friendly folks and the other people I've met there have all been great. They have a pistol range, a 100 yard rifle range, and skeet shooting.
