The public's celebrity fetish has generally never been about talent or anything deserving by the individual personality, and more about those people being told to do so. I'm sure you can find a few exceptions in the past, but overall, people are programmed to "go gaga" over what they are told to "go gaga" over through a planned effort by publicists, media, and sometimes even the government. Of course, it doesn't work on everyone, but that isn't the goal. They are only concerned with turning the focus of a critical mass of the population.

I watched the replay of Saturday's 2024 Supercross round 6. Been a really great season and I've seen zero woke being celebrated. Looking forward to talking my grandson to his first supercross race at ATT stadium in a couple weeks.
