Decided to check out a product called No Drill Check Rest, a klydex check rest which’s attaches to the stock to help raise the comb/hight for use with optics. Often rifles are made with iron sight hight stocks, that do not work well with optics. Test fit it on a few long guns I own and some extra stocks I have lying around. It is a nice option to give your cheek a higher rest and more comfortable/natural cheek weld. It’s removable and adjustable, but best to set up it works best. Cost with shipping/tax was around $40, not bad vs buying a new stock (a buddy bought a few hundred dollar stock with higher cheek rest, only to learn he had to remove the stock, to remove the bolt. A good option today, as many people are going to optics and larger objectives that raise the scope above normal sight lines.
Here is my video on it.
