    The good news is putting that laughing hyena in charge & she really has yet to do anything other then collect a check.

    She does laugh a lot which is why she is not likely to manage the day to day efforts and take action. Behind the VP will be:

    Stefanie Feldman, a longtime policy adviser to the president on gun violence prevention, will serve as the director of the office, and Vice President Kamala Harris will oversee it...Gun violence prevention advocates Greg Jackson and Rob Wilcox will join the administration as Deputy Directors of the Office of Gun Violence Prevention.

    The bios for these three indicated they will not look with any favor on 2A. I chalk it up to something Biden can do to look like he is doing anti-2A stuff in time for elections.

    I recall an event on April 19, 1775 where some guy attempted a similar thing. It turned out to be a bad day for the "ministers" he sent out to do the dirty work. It turned out badly for several that guy sent later as well. It turned out badly for that guy too.

    Later, those that lived in "that guy's country" came begging for help from those they earlier attempted to disarm.

    I've no intention of going out begging or leaving my grandchildren to be beggers.

    obiden can go straight to Hell.

    From the Bearing Arms blog;

    If truth-in-labeling laws applied to the federal bureaucracy, Joe Biden’s Office of Gun Violence Prevention would be known for what it really is: the Office of Gun Control Promotion. In the few months that the office has existed, it’s served primarily as a way to put gun control activists on the government payroll, and now we’re starting to see the poisonous fruits of their labors.

    The office and its titular head Kamala Harris has unveiled its “Safer States Initiative”, billed as providing states with “additional tools and the support they need to reduce gun violence and save lives.” In actuality, most of what the initiative entails is promoting the idea of more state-level gun control laws, including gun and magazine bans, “universal” background checks, “red flag” laws, and more. The initiative pays almost no attention to the perpetrators of violent crime beyond a brief reference to improving homicide clearance rates and advocating for community violence intervention programs.     From the AmmoLand blog;

    The names of nearly a hundred Democrat state legislators from 39 states who attended the Dec. 13 White House conference held by the Office of Gun Violence Prevention amounts to a roster of gun control advocates to which Second Amendment activists should cling in preparation for the 2024 elections.

    The administration’s eight-page “Safer States Agenda” includes the following recommendations, which will likely be showing up in one form or another as legislative sessions begin or resume in January:

    1. Establish a State Office of Gun Violence Prevention
    2. Invest in Evidence-informed Solutions to Prevent and Respond to Gun Violence
    3. Strengthen Support for Survivors and Victims of Gun Violence
    4. Reinforce Responsible Gun Ownership
    5. Strengthen Gun Background Checks
    6. Hold the Gun Industry Accountable

    Don't doubt me President Biden and all his minions are coming for our guns by way of the states.

    Well, if the blue states are disarmed, and we are not, and hell breaks loose, better for us against them.

    Except I don't think it's going to unravel that way; state vs. state. It'll be more like Dem controlled big cities vs. still sane rural...and that's when it really gets interesting.

    Using open-source and other data, the Second Amendment Foundation examined the office’s key personnel, budget, and operations. The findings reveal a Star Chamber of sorts, designed to come up with ways to chip away at the Second Amendment and then push them out to the states without any scrutiny from Congress, the courts, or the public.

    “For the first time in the history of the United States a president has created an office within the White House solely to find ways to circumvent and violate the Constitution,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “And do not forget that taxpayer dollars are supporting this abomination. We are paying the Biden-Harris administration to violate our civil rights.”

    Since the next administration could disband the office, Democrats have introduced legislation that would make the gun-control office a permanent fixture by moving it from the White House to the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Policy.

    H.R. 1699, known as the Office of Gun Violence Prevention Act of 2023, was sponsored by Senator Chris Murphy, (D-Conn.) and Congressman Maxwell Frost, (D-FL-10). It has garnered 92 co-sponsors – all Democrats – but has not seen any substantive legislative action.

    Read more at Truth about Guns blog. These people are spending our tax money to disarm us.

    The White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention is hosting the first in-person meeting of federal agencies to figure out what to do after a tragic mass murder and criminal misuse of firearms. The focus will be on what resources can be brought to bear after a shocking crime has been committed that once again rocks the nation’s conscience.

    The Biden administration is missing the target, once again, on guns. The focus shouldn’t be on what can the government do after a tragedy occurs. Rather, it should be on what should be done to prevent it.

    That answer comes down to two efforts: Enforce the law and hold criminals accountable for their crimes.
