Silly marketing.

Pretty much ANY recoil reducing muzzle brake is a loudener.
They bounce exiting muzzle gas energy to the sides and rear such that the gun moves rearward with lesser kinetic energy.

I call bullshit.

I guess you don't understand why guys own H&K 51's! Some peeps love that muzzle blast. I blame some of it is because of Hollyweird too. I have a buddy with a short barreled ar upper with a DeGroat flash enhancer. It only comes out @ night.

I have a 10" .308 and a 7" 5.56.

I just take far more delight in shooting my suppressed 300 Blackout.

5 suppressors are in the truck for tomorrow. From .17HMR to my big .338L


I guess my observation, more succinctly, is that all muzzle brakes are loudeners. This is the only one marketed as such to my recollection.
