    11B, of course. Air Assault qualified, spent a year in a mechanized unit in Germany, then 3 years in a light infantry unit as a scout.

    Scouts out brother. Misery, agony, heart break 1986. Too bad the new troops don't get to experience those since they moved the Armor School. Congrats on your commission. Are you still in?

    USAF retired. (Officer: 3044, Radar Maintenance & 3064 SAGE Computer Maintenance; O-1 to O-3, 1960-1975. Enlisted: 51171 COBOL Computer Programmer; E-4 to E-6, 1975-1980. Retired as O-3 in 1980.) Then worked for Texas Instruments as a COBOL Programmer for 26 years in Dallas.

    For all you folks who were in places to get shot at, this USAF guy salutes you!
