Again, minimum caliber is .45. Handgun or long gun. All the rest are wussie calibers. With maybe the 30 caliber in a rifle being OK!
Ok. That's kinda of minimalist, but will do..22LR <--- in a rifle
.223/5.56 < ---- in a rifle
9mm <---- in a full size AND compact pistol
12 gauge <--- self explanatory but in a rifle with a buttstock
Everything else is extra. Those are the must haves.
Depends on the diameter also. No! Anything less than 9 inches doesn’t have enough knock down power!

I’ve seen you shoot. That’s the safest place to stand.I dare you to stand in front of my wussie .17WSM.
But you'd be standing in front of my .45ACP, or 45 Colt, 45-70, etc.I dare you to stand in front of my wussie .17WSM.

Currently holding: .17HMR, .22LR........4.6x30, ...........
I'm not sure if there is a semi-automatic, mostly heard about it in a H&K MP7 which is a sub machine pistol. Not impossible to get, but then not easy either.OK, that one jumped off the screen at me.
HK 4.6x30mm ???
I have some ammo. Bought it because it was the oddest round I've ever seen at Academy sitting on the shelf gathering dust.
What, for goodness sake, weapon in US civilian hands can chamber it???
Cool round for sure.
What are the must-have calibers these days to keep you covered without tons of overlap? I have friends that would tell me I need a gun in every caliber "just incase". I have friends that would tell me a 22LR will do every job. I obviously fall in between. My calibers that include multiple ways to project them include 9MM, 22LR, 223/556 and 12G. I still feel like I want 45 sometimes but 9MM is fine. I don't hunt regularly but a 270 seems to do the job for me. I can see 308 replacing 270 though. The 6.5 CM looks like it might stick around a while and that will probably be my rifle choice when/if I make it. What about you guys?

Indeed. But boating has such horrible hazards associated with it . . .He does have an HK full auto, can't recall which it was.
But it is fun.
