not sure if this is a repetitive question but is there an online LTC course that can recommended?

There are several. But you must still show shooting proficiency in person. Some places charge more to do it in that two step fashion.

With your location being San Antonio, Lonestar Handgun is awesome. They also do the fingerprints there which will save a lot of time.
