I mean after the first day they basically swept the facts under the rug so they could paint the guy as a American terrorist, conservative hate-spewing Christian whacko that was on a murder spree. truth is it was 2:30 in the morning and he shot the shit out of some buildings. If he'd really been serious he could have just walked in and had at it. Or better yet plan a time of day when there are actual people around. No I think this clown was doing something really stupid but he had no intentions of actually doing anyone in - suicide by cop is my opinion.

I think it's about time Chief Avocado (or however the hell his name is spelled) was vetted. He obviously holds extremist views and is not serving the public trust.

I understand. I have issues with the guy saying it, his specific words (how those words are used) but not with the overall message. Yes, if your racist neighbor is screaming about killing Krasnovians and loading guns into his truck...by all means say something.

We already have backround checks. A system whereby those with violent tendencies and mental problems can be reported. Most agencies don't bother. Too much time and cost. Too much liability. I personally have met medical profesionals that did not want to say anything because they were sure the person could be " cured". And some can be.
Anyone here think someone like Acevedo should have the ability to decide what could be hated? How much anger at what was too much? Who or what we can be angry at? What crimes get to anger us enough to get violent?

Don't think so. My ex girl friend used to get scared if I raised my voice. Almost called the cops when I yelled a one of the kids for lieing. Said any anger was a sign of mental instability and violent tendencies.
Me, who hasn't layed a hand on women EVER. Been investigated several times for child abuse thanks to ex wife, and told they wish more parents cared that much. Me, who will generally try to avoid a fight.
