On this general topic; I used to like both BK & WhatABurger, but in recent years, BK has declined awfully, and about half the WAB’s have, too.

Wife, from Robstown, hits WAB every time she passes one, and feels that about half their restaurants have declined but some are still “good” as ever.

Then. there is “Sonic’s”, which I find universally AWFUL.

A fast food place or any restaurant is only as good or bad as its local management. You mentioned Sonic, there is one near us that is terrible, another a little further away is very good for fast food. Yelp and Google reviews reflect this. I think a lot of people expect too much out of fast food, you pretty much get what you pay for. And hats off to any retail establishment that has survived the past three years.

Only advantage fast food has is time from order to pickup. If you plan ahead and order from a quality restaurant, you can get good takeout for approximately the same price....

@vmax, you're an inspiration. I look forward to seeing more posts like this from all the "high class" gentlemen. To be clear, I agree, eating at home and cooking with high quality ingredients is the goal to which we should all strive but I have to call BS on the keyboard chefs.
