It really doesn't matter, because he would shoot any one of our dogs & get away with that too!
Could be they keep him around knowing a few drinks & pills & he's got no problem coming for people guns! That is where the issue comes in. Justice is not administered the same. I already said he should be fired but a lot of people posting here could keep their job with a Class A DWI conviction. Him not so much. I highly doubt another agency will touch him. Judges and most attorney's do not have that problem. It isn't like he opened up with the smg.
Yep he should have known better. Did he learn his lesson? Who the hell knows. It is the same as DV. Most here can get away with a conviction. That is the death of your profession in LE ( and a lot of spouses know it).

Yeah, it does smack of excessive privilege. He's enjoying special rights and privileges above a regular citizen, so he should be expected to behave better than the average person. With power comes responsibility. Many of us would love to have an MP7 but the .gov says we don't deserve it.
It be easier to get a ffl then sot & law letter & buy a post sample.Simple solution. Join a PD go thru swat training and ask for an MP7.

The fact that he had a smg is not relevant whatsoever.
But, it was in his car!I already said it but I'll say it again since this is in the Class III section. The news story is he was arrested for DWI, which is wrong. The fact that he had a smg is not relevant whatsoever.
IIRC the car & the MP7 belonged to the agency he worked for. But, it was in his car!
It is relevant. We've created a higher class of citizens (especially in places like CA), and they should be held to a higher set of standards than the peons.
