    So a friend of a friend had an FFL. ATF decided they didn't like that because he didn't have a store front where they could just show up unannounced and raid the place, so they gave him 30 days to shut down. My friend decided he liked his silencer so much that he needed another and ordered it through his friend before the FFL expired. Processing time was a couple of weeks, likely because the AFT was anxious to close down the account. So if you average that with the 340 days it took to get his first silencer, it probably does match the ATF's reported turnaround time.
