Long story short. This revolver has been in a friend's family since at least the 1970's. It was bought from a pawn shop in Texas. Caliber is 44-40 according to the cartridges that have been with the pistol since then.
Pistol details - The only markings on the pistol are the matching serial numbers. There is no name, address, caliber or any other markings on the gun.
The imitation staghorn stocks are plastic.
I can't tell for sure, but it looks chromed, not nickel plated.
