I think got on a lease! Woot!

A friend was going to drop out of his lease in order to conserve cash and buy a house.

It's 1300 acres south of Cross Plains, electric, water, septic, only two other hunters, year-round access, nice sized tank ...
He was going to remove his camper and put it in storage.

I offered to pick up the tab for the lease and share access with him if he left his camper there and allowed us access to stay in it.

Win-Win! ... all subject to approval by the land owner.

Hope to finalize the deal this week.

It's time. I've begun to feel guilty about mooching off of a friend's place. Hell, I bought him a Sig 1911 Nightmare for Christmas!
He's never said anything and probably never will, but I'm certainly not pulling my weight on the place either.

Been bad for a couple of years for sure. Drought is bad out toward San Angelo. On a normal or above normal moisture year, it's pretty good actually.
I sure understand not liking it last year though.
