Got a call from a good friend who told me of a guy trying to sell some pistol printers ..needed quick cash this morning
The guy selling knows nothing about reloading..
My buddy is 50 miles away and doesn't reload for pistol so he ask if I wanted them...uh..yeah
Met the guy at a public place just now..
Thought he might be shady so I had my 357 in my lap when he pulled up along side me
He looked like on older alcoholic..not dangerous or a tweaker...
I got 1000 Large pistol Federal primers, the box of 45 bullets and another pack of Winchester primers with about 20 missing for $50 total

I already have 2000 bullets so I sold the bullets to @TxStetson for $10 since we was talking on the phone the whole time my deal was going on.

So I got a brick of primers for $40
We were trying to guess the date on the primers?
Anyone know ..we were thinking 2000-2010...???

Pretty nice score. I bought some older stock federal large rifle Magnum primers and I was able to date them by the paper and sealer color on top at about 20-28 years old. They were stored properly so expect them all to go bang. Iirc they had similar packaging to your pistol ones there which came out in 94'.

vmax nice score! have you loaded any magnum primers yet? i've got about 600 LP magnum primers that i haven't got to yet. From what i'm hearing you have to back off on your loads a grain or 2, But i never max out my loads anyway so i shouldn't cause myself too much bodily injury when i start loading them, Hopefully.
